RegulaFidei.com (RuleofFaith.com) is the website of Michael Ryan Walker.
I am the husband of one (Christina) and father of three (Michaela, Christian and Eliana). I am currently serving as the Theologian in Residence at Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Dallas, TX. I am a Ph.D. Candidate in History of Doctrine at Princeton Theological Seminary, currently writing my dissertation on “John Calvin’s Pursuit of Happiness” (focusing on one of Calvin’s earliest writings, called Psychopannychia, which is about the life of the soul between the body’s death and resurrection).
In a previous life I was the Executive Director of Presbyterians For Renewal (2005-2007).
About the website:
The "Rule of Faith" (regula fidei) is the tradition of classical Christian teaching, based upon the Scriptures, that guided the early church's faith and life, and which developed into the Nicene Creed and Apostles' Creed. The content of this site represents one attempt to engage various aspects of life, including history, contemporary culture, the Scripture and theology through the lenses of the Rule of Faith. There are two main sections of the site. The "Reflections for Renewal" section contains a variety of (hopefully) coherent thoughts on the topics just mentioned. The "Notebook" contains incomplete thoughts or simply notes that emerge from reading, and they will often be more academically oriented or esoteric things.
